3. Data We Collect
3.1. Location Data
The Application may request access to your device's geolocation services (GPS). Location data is used exclusively to:
- Calculate proximity to user-configured "A-HOLE-AREAS".
- Display a geolocated map as a visual background during the detection animation.
- Adapt humorous texts based on proximity.
3.2. Locally Stored Data
The Application stores the following data on the user's device:
| Data | Storage | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| A-Hole-O-Meter value (0–100) | SharedPreferences | Detector sensitivity setting |
| Kermel value (0–10) | SharedPreferences | Detector power multiplier |
| Selected language | SharedPreferences | Interface language preference (es, en, de, fr, zh) |
| Onboarding status | SharedPreferences | Whether the user has completed the initial tutorial |
| Purchase status (ad removal) | SharedPreferences | Local cache of whether the user purchased ad removal |
| A-HOLE-AREAS (description, latitude, longitude) | Local SQLite database | User-configured geographic zones |
This data never leaves the device and is not accessible by us or any third parties. The user can delete it at any time by uninstalling the Application or clearing the app data from the device settings.
3.3. Data Collected by Third Parties
The Application displays interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain device data in accordance with its own privacy policy, including:
- Device advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android).
- IP address.
- Device information (model, operating system, version).
- Ad interaction data.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from apps.
3.4. In-App Purchases
The Application offers a non-consumable purchase to permanently remove ads. Purchase transactions are processed entirely through Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS). The Application does not collect, store or have access to financial data, payment methods or transaction information. Only a boolean flag indicating whether the purchase was made is stored locally on the device.
For more information about how payments are processed, see the privacy policies of Google or Apple.
3.5. Map Data
The Application uses map tiles from OpenStreetMap to display locations. Tile requests are made directly to OpenStreetMap servers, which may log the user's IP address in accordance with their own privacy policy. No additional personally identifiable information is sent in these requests.
4. Data We Do NOT Collect
The Application does not collect or access:
- Name, email address or user contact information.
- Message content, photos, files or communications.
- Browsing history or activity in other applications.
- Biometric data (fingerprint, facial recognition).
- Financial information or payment methods.
